Kathryn A. Midyett
Senior Accountant, CPA
Kathryn (Katie) Midyett joined the McFarlin and Brokke team in 2004. In 2009, she moved to Wichita, KS, supporting Regier, Carr & Monroe LLP. In 2019, she rejoined the McFarlin & Brokke staff.
Katie provides clients with an array of accounting services. Her areas of expertise include performing audits and reviews of both profit and not-for-profit entities as well as employee benefit plan audits. Katie assists both small businesses and individuals with tax preparation.
Industry clients Katie assists frequently include non-profits, professional services, and wholesale and retail distributors.
Katie has been involved as a volunteer for equine therapy programs, and she coaches youth sports.
Katie earned her Bachelor degree in Business Administration & Accounting from the University of Nebraska, Omaha in 2004. Professionally, Katie belongs to the American Institute of CPAs and the Nebraska Society of CPAs.
Katie’s interests include watching her daughter compete in sports, spending time with family, traveling, and cooking.
Douglas D. Morris
Douglas (Doug) Morris joined the McFarlin & Brokke team in 2014 as a staff accountant. In 2019, he was promoted to Manager.
Doug has significant experience and expertise in tax planning and preparation, business consulting, IRS resolutions, compilations, and reviews of financial statements. He works with individuals, businesses, trusts and estates.
Industry clients that Doug assists frequently include attorneys, dentists, chiropractors, financial advisors, insurance agencies, commercial and residential realtors, real estate teams, real estate investors, automotive dealerships, automotive repair companies, tradespersons (i.e. plumbers, painters, HVAC), and general contractors.
Project Wee Care is an organization that Doug contributes to locally.
Doug earned his Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree in 2015, and his Master of Professional Accountancy degree in 2016, from the University of Nebraska, Omaha. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Nebraska Society of CPAs.
An outdoor enthusiast, Doug’s interests include football, traveling, and hiking.
Quinn M. Rochford
Staff Accountant, CPA
Quinn Rochford joined the McFarlin & Brokke team in 2016.
Quinn has expertise and experience in tax preparation for individuals and business entities. Additionally, he assists clients with QuickBooks, bookkeeping, and business consulting.
Industry clients that Quinn assists frequently include tradepersons (i.e. plumbers, painters, HVAC), construction entities, realtors, insurance agents, property managers, hairstylists, health & fitness entities, and professional services.
Quinn also serves as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor - providing set up, synchronizing applications, correcting problems, and providing ongoing support for clients at all stages of business growth.
Quinn is a volunteer with Project Wee Care and serves on the board of the Omaha GOATS. Professionally, Quinn is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Nebraska Society of CPAs.
In 2016, Quinn earned a dual degree Bachelor of Professional Accountancy and Bachelor in Finance from Wayne State College. In 2017, Quinn earned his Master of Professional Accountancy degree from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.
Quinn’s hobbies include competitive rugby, weightlifting, yoga, and socializing with friends.
Melissa J. Travis
Melissa Travis has been contributing to the McFarlin & Brokke team since 2007, becoming a Senior Accountant in 2009.
Melissa provides clients of McFarlin & Brokke with a variety of accounting services. Her areas of expertise include non-profit auditing, individual and corporate taxation, and quarterly and annual payroll reporting.
Additionally, Melissa serves as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor - providing set up, synchronizing applications, correcting problems, and providing ongoing support for clients at all stages of business growth.
Industry clients that Melissa assists frequently include auto dealerships and services, professional services, restaurants, professional real estate developers, and 1031 exchange.
Contributing to local community efforts, Melissa has held several board positions with Executive Women International Omaha Chapter. Melissa volunteers in endeavors to support the Open Door Mission, The Angel Project, and Girls Inc.
In 2007, Melissa received her Bachelor in Accountancy and a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the University of Iowa.
Among her many interests, Melissa enjoys traveling, gardening, golfing, following Royals baseball and Hawkeye football, and spending time with friends and family.
